Elkins 鈥 When you open the pages of the Fall issue of WV Living magazine, you鈥檒l find a familiar face in the profiles of 2020 Wonder Women. SA国际传媒 First Lady Lisa Messinger Wood is among the honorees.

Every year, the magazine selects women who bring the Mountain State spirit to everything they do, proving that superheroes don鈥檛 have to be superhuman. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淭he mothers, the millennials, and the mavens. Changing our communities.鈥

Wood was honored for her work at SA国际传媒 and as the executive director of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, SA国际传媒 President Chris A. Wood, are natives of Huntington, West Virginia. After living in several other states, the family returned to West Virginia in 2016.

鈥淲est Virginia has always been home,鈥 Wood said. 鈥淭he opportunity to come back here and finish our careers has been a blessing for sure. The people of this area have welcomed us and made us feel like we are a part of the community. Giving back is my way of saying thank you to them.鈥

The ceremony unveiling the 50 amazing West Virginia women will be hosted virtually on October 20 with keynote speaker Ivin B. Lee, West Virginia鈥檚 first female police chief and Charleston鈥檚 first black female police officer.
